Frutaria produces red, Japanese, European and black plums.
Three production areas:
Aragón:The varieties of the Ebro Valley are not as early as those of the western part of Spain but they have the most sugar of all Europe.
Andalucía: The varieties of the south are the earliest. They stand out for their fine skin and are apt for especially demanding markets with respect to the appearance of the fruit. These varieties are the first of Europe to reach the points of sale and take over from those from the southern hemisphere.
Extremadura:These varieties are not as early as those of the southern part of Spain. They have fine skin and are very flavourful.
Their consumption provides the body with bioflavonoids, vitamin E, vitamin C and fibre. It regulates the intestinal tract, is digestive, antioxidant and refreshing.
